I have known Dr Leena Menon, a charismatic dancer and founder of SamarpanNrithyalaya, since the inception of this school in 2012. She has been instrumental in promoting Indian culture, tradition, art, and discipline via Bharatanatyam dance. She enthuses positive energy, passion, efficiency, and determination despite having a busy schedule as a full-time senior General Practitioner, a wife, and a mother. I have had the privilege and an honour to attend the muchawaited extraordinary annual celebrations of this school regularly. I am delighted to endorse that the innovative spectacular performance, creativity, cerebral input, and camaraderie of this school has gone from strength to strength, and I am confident that Leena's legacy will live forever in Wales.
Anjali is 11 and has been learning bharatanatyam for 4 years . It’s been a fantastic way to connect with her roots and heritage. At Samarpan school they are welcomed with love and nurtured like an extended family . leena encourages and constantly looking for opportunities for the children to take part in recitals and public shows which helps to gain confidence and recognition. Samarpan also is very pro exams which is a good mark of progress and achievement exams are very well organised with the OBEL board . All the extensive work leena does for the children is all voluntary and the only reward is the joy of helping children learn bharatanatyam .
Samarpan is a very talented troupe which promotes our rich heritage, culture and art with great enthusiasm. The exquisite dance production by the team at the recent Welsh Government Digital Diwali event was a great success and enjoyed by all.
Talented instructors who really care about their dancers. Both my children have had nothing but positive experiences.”
