Nrithyotsava 2023
Our flagship event, Nrithyotsava 2023, brought together renowned artists and the local dance community to offer audiences in Wales a rare opportunity to experience Indian classical dance at its finest. Students benefitted from one-on-one interactions with masters, deepening their artistic insights and refining their skills. The event's highlight was the collaboration between our students and professional artists, which received widespread acclaim. The success of Nrithyotsava significantly elevated the profile of Bharatanatyam in Cardiff and reinforced its cultural relevance.
Upasana 2019
Upasana 2019 was an intimate evening of Indian classical dance that showcased the beauty of Bharatanatyam and Kathak. Featuring spellbinding performances by our Artistic Director, Dr. Santosh Nair, and Kathak dancer Ms. Amrita Bandyopadhyay, the event highlighted the unique legacy of these two art forms. Audiences were left with a deeper appreciation for Indian classical dance, and the event reinforced Samarpan’s commitment to curating exceptional cultural experiences.
Annual Performances and Arangetram
Our annual performances are a celebration of our students’ dedication and artistry. These vibrant events showcase the progress and achievements of learners at all levels, from beginners to advanced dancers.
Samarpan also takes great pride in hosting Arangetram (solo debut performances), a pivotal milestone in a dancer’s journey. Recent Arangetram performances by Kaavya Sudheer and Nithya Menon were met with widespread acclaim, and we eagerly look forward to our upcoming Arangetram in May 2025.
